PETZL EXO PERSONAL ESCAPE SYSTEM
Due to the critical nature of the application, PETZL requires that an end-user training course be provided to instruct personnel on how to properly deploy and use the EXO Personal Escape System. First Due Training has been selected to provide firefighters and fire departments across the country with training for this vital piece of equipment. First Due Training, in conjunction with Petzl, has developed an 8-10 hour training course on the PETZL EXO. Our course includes a Powerpoint lecture that discusses the EXO System components and their proper use during an emergency egress. A majority of the training course is hands-on, in which the students will be taught various techniques and will perform slides on the system. |

ABOUT THE PETZL EXO:
The PETZL EXO Personal Escape System provides firefighters with a fast, reliable means of egress from a burning multi-story structure. A firefighter equipped with the system can quickly anchor the fire resistant rope with the hook or other anchoring device and move rapidly towards the point of exit. |
The firefighter can then escape via the window. The self-braking EXO device helps prevent the firefighter from falling or losing control of the rope, allowing him to concentrate on getting out of the building. Once outside, he can use the EXO to descend to a lower level. Trained personnel can execute the entire exit sequence in as little as 10 seconds. In a last-resort scenario, the EXOs advantages of speed, adaptability and self-braking function offer the best possible means of escape. |
